Too much attention has been given to Morrie lately, so I had better return to my Jayjay before she gets to feel too neglected...
She has always been fascinated by water, and will happily send ages amusing herself with a dripping tap. As well as patting at the drops she often has a drink also. In fact, she prefers to drink from a tap than a bowl. Of course I do not leave taps constantly dripping just for her enjoyment, but when she asks me to do so I turn one on slightly for her. Now all I have to do is train her to wash the dishes while she is there! You might notice a small picture on the window ledge of a cat with similar colouring to Jayjay. Beside the picture is a small saying: "Together is the best place to be". How true!
Like any proud Mum I love telling people what 'the kids' have been up to. This blog is a great way to share my family news!

My Quiet Kids
Here are Jayjay and Morrie enjoying a companionable cat nap on my sofa. I was quite surprised to see them there like this, but pleasantly surprised, you can be sure! I guess they have settled in reasonably well, considering that getting two older cats to accept each other can be quite difficult.
Neither of the cats stirred in the slightest while I was taking their photo. Incidentally, the pillow between them is a fine tapestry cushion cover I bought when in Belgium. Under the picture of the cat on the chair are the words 'noblesse oblige'.

My Toy Boy
While settling in, Morrie spent a lot of time in our bedroom. One day I sold this cute puppy dog nursery toy on an internet auction site, and while I was getting it ready to post to Tasmania, of course Morrie had to investigate.
By the look on his face, Morrie possibly thought he had been replaced with a quieter alternative! He is much more vocal than Jayjay, although nowhere near as talkative as the eastern cat breeds eastern cat breeds can be.
