Let me introduce Morrie

Ladies and Gentlemen, Meet Morrie.

When Mum's previous cat died I selected this gentleman from the Animal Welfare League for her. She immediately fell in love with this affectionate cat with the most glorious opalescent green eyes and he has kept her company for about six years. Sadly she has had to move into a nursing home and Morrie was not allowed to accompany her, hence his move in with us. There has been no all out brawling but poor Jayjay is definitely miffed to say the least. She has the odd hissy fit and will take the occasional swipe at him, but has refrained from much else. She prefers to show her displeasure by often ignoring me until the next meal time rolls around, but I know things will settle in due course. She came from the Animal Welfare League initially also and neither kitty is going to be sent back as far as I am concerned!

What or Who is This...???!!!

Jayjay has not been a happy girl of late. She has a 'brother' now... Who is this annoyingly mysterious being who has invaded HER house but is welcome by Mum...?

Here is my girl

You have seen her portrait. Now see the model! Jayjay has quite an appealing face. There is a distinctive dark mark on her nose. It can not be seen in this photo, but she also has a larger dark smudge under her chin. Sometimes I see her and think she has been rubbing under an oily car!  Although she has a lot of it, her white fur is mainly on her underside. So if she hunkers down, she can not be easily seen, especially if I am wandering through the dark house at night. I have had to tell her that if she must get under my feet, at least she could lie on her back so I have a chance of seeing her!

From this photo taken by my front door, my Jayjay has gone onto a Christmas card in the exclusive 'Cats by Margaret' range! I shall show it to you closer to that time of year...

Jayjay

Seeing as she is my title kitty of my little blog, I guess I should mention her first. Jayjay. She is a calico cat, about eight years old now, reprieved seven years ago from the Animal Welfare League. I have used her portrait as my blog picture. Do you think it is true pets take after their owners? I do! Jayjay is the Purrfect example. She is quite chubby. She is somewhat silly. But by gosh she is pretty!
